China's new energy industry provides high-quality production capacity for achieving the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the climate change goals of the Paris Agreement, benefiting all countries. The more high-quality production capacity there is globally, the more advantageous it is.

Development and Contribution of New Energy Industry
China's new energy industry has flourished in recent years, and related international cooperation is also rapidly strengthening. A series of issues such as "China's green technology drives global energy transition," "China plays an important role in achieving sustainable development goals," and "China's new energy vehicles perform outstandingly in the field of environmental protection," have attracted widespread attention, demonstrating China's significant contributions to global green, low-carbon transition and climate change response.
China's new energy industry has made positive contributions to global emissions reduction. Since the proposal of the "dual carbon" target in 2020, China has steadfastly fulfilled its commitments, accelerated the transformation of its energy structure, and promoted the leapfrog development of renewable energy. According to a report by the International Energy Agency, the global installed capacity of renewable energy will reach 510 million kilowatts in 2023, with China contributing more than half, making a huge contribution to the growth of global renewable energy generation. Chinese wind and photovoltaic products have been exported to more than 200 countries and regions around the world, helping developing countries obtain clean, reliable, and economical energy. As of 2022, China's renewable energy generation is equivalent to reducing domestic carbon dioxide emissions by about 2.26 billion tons. The exported wind and photovoltaic products reduce carbon dioxide emissions for other countries by about 573 million tons, with a total reduction of over 2.8 billion tons, accounting for about 41% of the global equivalent carbon reduction from renewable energy during the same period. Beidekei, President and CEO of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, believes that China has made significant achievements in promoting low-carbon energy transformation and sustainable development.

Global promotion of new energy industry technology
China's new energy technologies provide important support for the global green and low-carbon transformation. After years of development, China has become a global leader in multiple new energy technologies and equipment manufacturing, and has established the world's largest clean power supply system. New energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and photovoltaic products have injected new impetus into the global response to climate change. From the world's first 16 MW offshore wind turbine connected to the grid for power generation to the world's first fourth generation nuclear power plant officially put into commercial operation, from a new type of battery with a range of 1000 kilometers to an intelligent cockpit with the introduction of artificial intelligence models, China's new energy industry contributes wisdom and strength to the global energy transformation with innovative advantages and excellent quality. The International Renewable Energy Agency report points out that in the past 10 years, the average cost of electricity per kilowatt hour for global wind and solar power projects has decreased by over 60% and 80% respectively, with a large part attributed to China's innovation, manufacturing, and engineering technologies. The Director General of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, pointed out that China's provision of relevant services and support to other countries has significantly improved the accessibility of clean energy technologies and reduced the cost of global application of green technologies.
International cooperation and win-win situation in the new energy industry
China is orderly promoting cooperation in the new energy industry chain and building a win-win new model for green and low-carbon energy transformation. Chinese companies' investments in clean energy overseas cover major fields such as wind power, photovoltaic power generation, and hydropower, helping other countries achieve their carbon reduction goals and making positive contributions to global sustainable development. In 2023, the export volume of new energy vehicles in China reached 1.203 million units, a year-on-year increase of 77.6%, becoming an important driving force for the transformation of the global automotive industry. Chinese made electric buses are running on the streets of Rwanda, contributing to the local environmental protection cause; Chinese car companies set up new energy vehicle factories in Thailand to help improve the quality and efficiency of the Thai automotive industry. Practice has proven that the high-quality production capacity provided by China's new energy industry can help achieve the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change, and all countries can benefit from it. The more high-quality production capacity there is globally, the more beneficial it is.
Climate change is a global challenge, and developing new energy industries and achieving green and low-carbon transformation have become the common vision of countries around the world. China has driven the rapid development of the new energy industry through technological innovation, a well-established production and supply chain, and market competition. At the same time, with an open attitude and extensive cooperation with countries around the world, it provides opportunities for green and win-win development for the world. China is willing to work together with all parties to promote the high-quality development of the new energy industry and contribute more to building a clean and beautiful world.
