As an important supporting event during the CIIE, the 7th China Petroleum International Cooperation Forum and Signing Ceremony with the theme of "Joining Hands to Build a Green and Sustainable Energy Future" was successfully held in Shanghai on November 6th. China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) collaborates with industry partners from international organizations, research institutions, energy companies, technology companies, and representatives from over 40 global suppliers to explore opportunities for cooperation and plan for the future of energy.

Dai Houliang, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation, Taufik, President and CEO of Petronas, and Haile, Member of Total Energy Executive Committee and President of Asia, delivered keynote speeches successively.

Chairman Dai Houliang delivered a keynote speech titled "Expanding Openness and Cooperation, Moving Forward Together towards a Green and Sustainable Energy Future". He sincerely welcomes global partners and old and new friends to gather in Shanghai again. He believes that in the seven years since the China Petroleum International Cooperation Forum was held, extensive exchanges have been held around themes such as energy industry cooperation, safe supply, and green transformation, and practical cooperation with global partners has been continuously deepened. The "circle of friends" has been expanding, and the signing amount has been increasing year by year, effectively promoting the optimization of global resource allocation and coordinated development of industries.

Dai Houliang stated that the unprecedented global changes are accelerating, and the global energy landscape is undergoing profound changes. The energy industry is accelerating its transformation towards clean, low-carbon, efficient, and diversified directions. He emphasized the promotion of green and sustainable energy development, with secure supply as the prerequisite and foundation, technological innovation as an important support, and open cooperation as a pragmatic choice.

To further strengthen deeper and broader cooperation and inject inexhaustible impetus into global green development, Dai Houliang proposed four initiatives.

The third is to accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading, and work together to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of energy. Actively exploring new energy development cooperation models, promoting the integration of oil and gas with new energy, establishing and improving energy-saving and efficiency work systems, and jointly promoting the transformation of energy supply and consumption systems towards green and low-carbon. The fourth is to increase openness and cooperation, and work together to enhance global energy governance capabilities. Practice the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, deepen cooperation in ecological environment and climate governance, deepen communication and exchange mechanisms among partners, and jointly implement corporate social responsibility.

The President and CEO of Petronas, Taufik, delivered a keynote speech titled "Petronas and China: Continuing the Torch, Charting a New Chapter in Energy Together". Haile, member of the Executive Committee of Total Energy and President of Asia, delivered a keynote speech titled "Joining Hands with Chinese Partners to Create a Sustainable Future".

In the high-level dialogue session, representatives from PetroChina, BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Eni, Baker Hughes, Wood Mackenzie and other companies conducted in-depth discussions on sub topics such as "co creating a clean and efficient energy system", "energy transformation and secure development path", "innovation driven clean energy development", and "high-level global energy cooperation and governance", gathering wisdom and consensus.

At the signing ceremony, PetroChina signed contracts with partners such as Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Total Energy, Kuwait Petroleum Group, Schlumberger, Siemens Energy, etc. At this year's CIIE, China Petroleum signed 27 procurement agreements with 26 global partners, with a total contract amount of 17.3 billion US dollars.

According to statistics, since the first CIIE, China Petroleum has successfully held seven sessions of the China Petroleum International Cooperation Forum, reaching over 127.3 billion US dollars in procurement contracts with 190 international suppliers, achieving a steady increase in transaction volume and showcasing the image of a Chinese energy enterprise with win-win cooperation to the world.
