On July 24, 2025, the group standard review meeting for "Technical Requirements for Special Valves for Hydrogen Storage and Transportation" and "Guidelines for Design and Manufacturing of Low Temperature Valves for Hydrogen Use" organized by the China Association of Mechanical and Electrical Products Circulation was held in Beijing. The meeting will be conducted online, and leaders including Cheng Hongjian, Deputy Director of the Standardization Working Committee of the China Machinery and Electrical Products Circulation Association, will attend the meeting.

The review expert group is composed of experts such as Sun Daming, Director of Zhejiang University, and Xu Lingfeng, Vice Dean of the School of Valve Industry at Kaifeng University. The expert group conducted a detailed review of the standard provisions and provided professional opinions on the content of the standard. Huang Kedi, from the Standard Preparation Department of the Standard Working Committee of the China Machinery and Electrical Products Circulation Association, presided over the meeting and provided a detailed introduction on the standard preparation process, work foundation, and modification status on behalf of the preparation team
Vice Director Cheng Hongjian pointed out in his concluding speech that the formulation of these two group standards is an important measure to promote the standardized development of the hydrogen valve industry, and has positive significance for regulating the product market, improving product quality and performance. More than 20 units, including Shanghai Valve Factory Co., Ltd., participated in this meeting. The attending representatives gave positive evaluations on the scientific, extensive, and timely nature of the standards.
It is understood that with the rapid development of the hydrogen energy industry, the special requirements for valves in the process of hydrogen storage and transportation are becoming increasingly prominent. The development of these two group standards will provide important technical basis for the design and manufacturing of hydrogen storage and transportation valves.
